Solar
Cooling Do it Yourself!
Technical Training and Promotion Conference:
Battery-free
refrigerators for food and beverages? Ice-makers
for fish or milk cooling? Small ice-storage
systems for cooling rooms? Just do it yourself
with our solar cooling construction kit! Thanks to
the use of solar cooling units, you can customize
your own systems to meet the requirements of final
users. In the upcoming workshop, we kindly invite
you for a training on how to design, produce and
assemble your products based on 3 hands-on example
systems. Solar Cooling Engineering(SCE) is a
spinoff company of the Tropics/Subtropics group of
the Insititute of Agricultural Engineering of the
University of Hohenheim in Germany. Its mission is
to raise awareness on the use of solar energy for
refrigeration. Its focus is the agricultural
sector of non-industrialized rural areas.SCE
provides technical support to local companies and
entrepreneurs for the promotion of local
production and cost reduction of small and medium
solar cooling systems for food value-chains. Our
strategy is the distribution of modular and
scalable “cooling units” instead of “cooling
systems” as pathway to reduce final system cost
while creating specialized jobs locally.

Off-Grid-Experts Workshop 19. - 21. September 2019
Access
to energy is not secure in incredibly large parts
of the world. But even where the infrastructure is
available, network stability is at risk,
especially in times of global connectivity and
digitalization. Therefore, the motto of this
year's Off-Grid-Experts Workshop is: Get rid of
the grid!
Off-grid
solutions not only create secure, but also clean
and affordable energy access. This makes off-grid
an interesting and highly relevant technology in
all parts of the world.
Call
for Paper - Apply with your presentation! The
two-day workshop offers experts and participants
the opportunity to exchange ideas on practical

| | Halibet
hospital
PV system:
Phaesun successfully
supplied, installed and commissioned a 10kWp
Off-Grid/hybrid solar PV system at the burn
station of the Halibet hospital in Asmara,
Eritrea. The project is funded by Hammer Forum
in cooperation with the Eritrean ministry of
health, and installed by Phaesun Asmara Plc. The
installed PV system will ensure reliable and
uninterruptible clean power supply to the burn
station of the hospital, which was suffering in
the past with frequent power outages. The burn
station of the hospital treats burn injuries,
which often affects women and children. The
installed PV system will play a great role in
ensuring a smooth treatment of patients by
supplying reliable power supply. More

Review: Fair Reisen und Camping in Essen:
More
than 1.000 exhibitors from almost 20 countries
provided information at the largest holiday
fair in NRW from 21.02 - 24.02.2019. 95.000
visitors attended. As every year, Phaesun was
represented at the stand of the company Pieper
Depot from Gladbeck in Hall 6. The power
supply on board is still the central topic, as
more and more electronics are being installed
in the vehicles. Visitors were particularly
interested in our new modules with shingle
cell technology and our flexible Fly Weight
modules. We are already looking forward to the
next Reisen & Camping in Essen from 26.02.
- 01. March 2020, where we will certainly
present many interesting new products again.
