Phaesun
Off-Grid News - February 2016
Solar Winter School 2016: Solar traders of tomorrow! For the first time, the SRH University of Berlin started an
advanced training course for solar entrepreneurs with the focus on
Off-Grid systems. The course addressed solar installers from all
over the world, mainly from countries with a poorly developed
electricity grid. It conveyed both technical and economic
contents during the two weeks’ training programme in Berlin. This
first course is now completed by a practical experience phase where
the participants work in solar companies. Furthermore, the course
includes an extensive online training programme. Phaesun engineer
Russom Semere lectured on the system sizing of Off-Grid systems and
solar water pumps. The 12 participants came from 8 different
countries and contributed their own experiences in lively and
exciting discussions. Please find pictures of the training at SRH Berlin on the Phaesun
Facebook-page here.

15 Years phaesunized!
Episode 2004/2005: Getting established
It was 15 years ago that the cornerstone for Phaesun was laid in
Memmingen in the Allgäu. We use this anniversary year to tell about
the Phaesun background and history episode by episode!
In 2004, the team in Memmingen and Asmara had already gained an
international reputation. The company concept has been consolidated:
In addition to the single components trade, Phaesun also
concentrates on the execution of projects. The first experienced
solar technician to join the Memmingen team is Jürgen Großer who is
concerned with system sizings and installations. Apart from an
increasing number of European and African distribution partners,
more and more internationally renowned component manufacturers rely
on Phaesun which e.g. leads to an exclusive partnership for the
distribution in Europe with Sundaya. The team in Memmingen is
constantly growing while storage capacities run out so the move to
new office and store- rooms is due. For the first time in 2004,
Phaesun takes part in the Intersolar exhibition in Freiburg/Germany.
